Description

Assembly:  Small carpark at Turner School, located on the north-eastern corner of the school grounds - access off Hartley St, near the corner of Hartley St and David St 

Parking:  In the carpark, and roadside on one side of Hartley St

Facilities: Small undercover area in case of rain. Nearest toilets are at the O'Connor shopping centre, on corner of Macpherson St and Sargood St (approx. 600 metres away from assembly area).

Gear: Headlamp/torch and watch/timing device essential.

Starts: Register from 5.40.

Briefing: 6.10pm. Mass Start 6.15

Finish: You must return to the finish by 7.15pm.

Organiser & Course Setter: Natalie Shadwell/Alistair Smith

Cost: $5 adults, $2 children, $10 family. Newcomers and beginners most welcome.

Courses:

  • Course A - visit any 18 controls
  • Course B - visit any 15 controls
  • Course C - visit any 12 controls
  • Course D - visit any 8 controls
  • Walkers' Course - visit as many controls as you can within 1 hour

Various Event Programs are run in and around Canberra. Details of particular events will be in the OACT Weekly Bulletins. The majority of Canberra and region orienteering events are enter-on-the-day.

In the event of a Fire Ban, an event scheduled in a bush location will be cancelled or replaced by an event in a location not affected by the fire ban. The most up to date information will be on the event web page or the front page of the OACT website.throughout the year. See Programs for an explanation of the different event series

Photographs are taken at events for online and magazine publication to assist in the promotion of orienteering. If you do not want your photo taken and published please advise registration at each event.
