Members of the Blue Lightning squad have been justly rewarded for top performances in the Australian Schools
Orienteering Championships.  In addition to successes by individuals and teams in the Relays, ACT was placed third on 37 points, just behind Tasmania on 40 and Queensland on 38.  The ACT would most certainly have won if it had they a senior girls team, especially in the Relays.

Three ACT team members, Patrick Miller, Tara Melhuish and Noah Poland (pictured below), were named in Australian Honour team. And two, Patrick Miller and Tara Melhuish have been named in the team to represent Australia in the 2015 Schools Trans-Tasman Challenge against New Zealand in January in
Tasmania.  Two others, Noah Poland and Zoe Melhuish have been named as non-travelling reserves.

The complete Australian Schools team is:

Senior Boys: Jarrah Day, Matt Doyle, Daniel Hill, Tom Ronnfeldt; Non travelling reserves: Simeon Burrill, Riley de Jong, Nicholas Colllins
Senior Girls: Anna Dowling, Hannah Goddard, Winnie Oakhill, Asha Steer; Non travelling reserves: Georgia Jones, Leisha Maggs, Celsey Adams.
